As disciples of Christ we are convinced that compassion for others was the central message of Jesus. Therefore to be compassionate and help others is a large part of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Here at Millwood Christian Church there is a variety of ways to help and serve others, both locally and internationally!

Seven Hills Homeless Center

'...whatever you have done unto the least of these you have done unto me'  Matthew 25
Millwood Christian Church considers it a privilege to help support the work of the 7 Hills Shelter.  On the first Friday of every month our church prepares and serves lunch at the shelter.  In addition to serving at the shelter we continually collect items such as toiletries and clothing to help those in need.

Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter

Jesus said, 'let the children come to me'
The Millwood Christian Church has been involved in helping the Children's shelter in many ways.  From collecting donations, to preparing meals, to helping the children and celebrate birthdays and holidays folks in our church are helping to bring some normalcy to the lives of these children in need.  If you would like to be involved in this ministry please contact Beverly Keck.

Millwood at Special Olympics

On Friday February 26 a handful of folks from Millwood spent the day at the Special Olympics Volleyball tournament held at the Jones Center in Springdale. Carol Taylor directed the event, Donald Bell served as a referee and Jim Moore served as a score keeper. Stacy Ingram and Terry Henderson also served as score keepers, lunch get-ers and overall encouragers.   What a great day!

Snack Pack Ministry - Wow!

11 Millwood folks gathered at the Samaritan Community Center on Tuesday, April 20 to help stuff snack packs.  It was hard work but gratifying!  Thanks to everyone who helped.  Our church is committed to helping with the Snack Packs on the third Tuesday evening of every month.  We work from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm.
What is the Snack Pack Ministry? A Snackpack is a plastic bag filled with 8-10 healthy weekend snacks.

We had 50 people from Millwood run and walk in the 7th annual Run for a Child  held on September 6 (Labor Day) at the Pinnacle Promenade Mall in Rogers.   The proceeds went go the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.
Thanks to everyone who participated!  We are already looking forward to next  year!

Millwood Helping Those in Haiti

On Saturday, June 26 Millwood joined hundreds from across Northwest Arkansas at the Tyson Track complex on the University of Arkansas Campus to help prepare meals of rice and beans to be sent to Haiti. The goal was to prepare  2 million bags of food. We were able to bag up 1.4 million but considering each meal feeds six people there will be many folks who get to eat.
